Whether you've simply got a passion for flowers and want to expand on your knowledge, are attempting to do your own wedding flowers (or have been roped in to do a friend's) or are thinking about a move into the industry, this is a great course aimed at those looking to know more than just how to make a bouquet.
Here is a breakdown of what we will cover and what is included.
10 - 11am Coffee (let's face it - probably cake too): and discussion about the practicalities involved in wedding floristry. From sourcing, buying, budgeting, and the timescales you should be working too as well as the logistics of transporting and installing. Please bring any burning questions with you so we can cover them in this discussion and make sure you all get the most out of the day for your own situation.
11am - 1pm Table flower designs: We will cover centrepieces and more innovative ways to dress tables for weddings, covering various budgets and options.
1pm - 2pm Lunch: served by Kemp Kitchen, eaten at the table we have just dressed.
2pm - 3pm Bridal bouquet: We will cover flower selection, colour theory and bouquet shape.
3pm - 3.30pm Buttonhole design: Which flowers will last the day out of water, how to wire flowers and ribbon buttonholes.
3.30 - 4.30 Large scale installation working as a group. This might be an arch, a hanging piece or similar depending on the material we can get hold of at the time (and whether you have a real urge to do something particular).
Due to covering costs of the venue, the flowers, catering and staff, we are only able to offer full refunds for cancellations with 14 days' notice. After that we will refund 40% of the amount paid. Amount paid is non-transferable to other Petalon events.
